[...] Back in 2007 I blogged about how banks have turned themselves into killing machines. It seems they have not really learnt. See here. This is what courts have to say. We deem it appropriate to remind the banks and other financial institutions that we live in a civilised country and are governed by the rule of law,” a bench comprising Justices Tarun Chatterjee and Dalveer Bhandari said.
Yes, that makes sense. But I would still prefer that they say "So and so has got the first rank in CAT". The way it is written, I believe they are confusing 100th percentile with 100% marks.

I guess they would be rounding off the percentile score to 2 decimals. If this is the case, all candidates who have secured above 99.995% would get 100.00%. Given that 2.25 lakh students have written the test, this comes to about 11 students which matches with the news item statement "... like only 10-odd other management aspirants ...".

for some reason , i am unable to comment on the potato article related to bg bazaar :( . What i wanted to say is that as per Mr Biyani . BB deliberately tries to throw in a few bad potatoes/tomatoes etc in the mix so that shoppers can hand pick much like the traditional subzi mandi..

May be this latest tactic of the retail giant is what you saw at work ;-)

South Indies (http://www.thesouthindies.com/) on 100 Feet Road, Indiranagar is a excellent vegetarian restaurant. You can try their buffet lunch or a la carte dinner. If you like south Indian food, this is a very good place to try.

The GPS receiver is very accurate, I think the minimum resolution is something like 38m. I will have to double check on that. It can differentiate between different buildings in my apartment complex. It does not have external antenna.
Initial time to sync up is around 2-3 minutes in most cases. It works only in outdoors. If you have a lock them it can work indoors but it is very difficult to get a lock indoors.
Ok, the system rides on google maps to achieve the navigation. So in the countries where google maps offers that service, we can get it but in India google maps still does not offer that service so I presume you can not do route planning etc. But you can visualize yourself on roads that you are traveling.

This is interesting. Just yesterday there was an advertisement in Times of India about SatGuide (http://satguide.in) which claimed to be the first GPS navigation system in India.

Some questions about this N95 based system:

1. How accurate is the in-built GPS receiver?
2. Does it come with an external antenna?
3. What is the initial time to sync up with GPS satellites?
4. Just to clarify, is it a mere GPS based location determination solution or
a navigation solution where you can ask for directions from A to B?
